"Dundo Maroje" One student assignment

Summary/Abstract: The most successful dramatization Dundo Maroje by Marin Drzic atrributed to Marko Fotez, after a performance at the Croation National theatre in Zagreb, 1938. In this paper we will talk about Fotez's dramatization, which led to prominent place in the repertoires of the most Yugoslav theatres in the 20th Century. The analysis of Fotez's dramatization of Dundo Maroje points to possible perspectives of fragmentary interpretation and approach to the stage adaptation of this work. The method of study is based on the reconstruction of theatrical and archival records on the dramaturgical paper of Marko Fotez.
