ABUSE OF OFFICE IN COMPARATIVE LAW

Summary/Abstract: In this article, the author makes a brief presentation of the offence of abuse of office in comparativelaw, presenting legal systems where such a criminal deed does not have a specific criminal provision and legalsystems where the legislator decided to create a specific legal framework.The author’s conclusion is that from the analysis of the different criminal provisions regarding abuse ofoffice in comparative law, it is observed that most legal systems that have opted for a specific criminal provisionhave done so in a synthetic, general manner.
