Summary/Abstract: The Republic of North Macedonia is a strikingly unique Balkan country that is home to almost all ethnic and religious groups in the region. This patchwork structure places the country under the spotlight, particularly in terms of minority rights. This article provides an overview of the Romani people’s position in the Republic of North Macedonia as one of the most important ethnic minorities in the country. Romani people’s living standards, from education opportunities to the political organizational rights, were evaluated due to their minority status in the constitution. In addition to face-to-face interviews with the Macedonian Romani people, this research work also cited books and articles on the region and reports by local non-governmental organizations working on minority rights.
