Summary/Abstract: The Christian churches collaborate in the eradication of everything that moves the presence of the Kingdom of God away from this world. A clear example has been the last assembly of the World Council Churches held in Busan, South Korea, where the concrete commitment was assumed by all the churches. This is expressed in the Unity Statement. Article discusses the theological context of the social thought of the ecumenical movement and it presents how this thought is exemplified by the World Council of Churches.
