Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article became the learning of art history sources which were the foundation for creating a detailed ballet analysis of art individuality of Oleg Stalinskiy. The methodology of the work includes using these art history research methods: historical and cultural, system, typological comparative, and artistic-stylistic analysis. The scientific novelty of the publication is that it first explored the second half of the twentieth-century sources of periodicals, on the basis of which the artistic achievements of O. Stalinskiy were determined. Conclusions. O.Stalinskiy’s stage experience in periodical scientific and non-fiction publications is presented in the form of scientific articles, ballet reviews, notes, reviews on premiere performances. There are two periods in the historiography of the dancer's creative work: the Soviet period when O. Stalinskiy’s figure was considered mainly in the context of the formation in national themes in the domestic ballet theater. (B. Bidnenko, I. Borovskyi, V. Huzii, B. Lvov-Anokhin, B. Molchanov, Y.Nikolaienko, I. Prokhorenko, A. Smotrych, S. Yakovlev), and modern (L. Vyshotravka, O.Palamarchuk, O.Petryk), when the creative path of the artist was comprehensively analyzed on the accumulated information base.
