Summary/Abstract: The article presents the problem of participatory budgeting in Poland, as a popular form of cooperation between the administration and citizens. The study describes the influence of participatory budgeting on people’s awareness and commitment to local issues. The author considers the legal, organizational, economic and social results of putting the procedure of participatory budgeting into practice. The aim of this article is to present the concepts of civic participation. The author describes the model of a participatory budget and the process of its evaluation.
