Summary/Abstract: The task of health communication is to analyze the formation of health information and the way it is transmitted. It examines its impact on patients, but also on communities, institutions and health policies. To enjoy good health, one must have access to relevant information. Communication refers to many levels of mutual understanding, ranging from a world-wide or state medical system to the marketing and advertising endeavors. Nowadays, almost everyone uses the latest technological devices, thanks to which mass communication, also in connection with health issues, is greatly facilitated. Despite the fact that medicine has changed radically over the years, according to the author of the article, nothing can replace a real meeting between a doctor and a patient. The development of technology affects the reduction of human suffering or the spread of epidemics, and online medical consultations facilitate the patient's quick access to his doctor. However, the modern computerization of most medical facilities does not encourage the creation of relationships, be it between staff or when it comes to the relationship between the patient and the doctor. Excess of procedures, bureaucracy, mass approach towards people unfortunately distances potential interlocutors from each other. Health communication is important from the patient's point of view, as it allows a deeper understanding of one's own problem, enable to respond to the disease and awaken motivation to fight it. The author would like to point out that the issue of communication between the patient and the doctor is considered one of the most important components affecting the healing process. The patient should be surrounded by special care and professional advice from the very beginning of the diagnosis. In turn, the doctor is also a man of flesh and blood, having his own difficult emotions. Finding a common language in an atmosphere of mutual respect and forbearance is often extremely difficult. In her considerations, the author uses the method of qualitative analysis of source texts.
