Summary/Abstract: The aim of the research paper is to analyze and emphasize the evolution of the insurance market among the 28 member states of European Union. Also, it is presented a clear picture of the position of each country in the European space on insurance markets. The study is based on analysing the main indicators representative of the European Union market. The insurance sector has undergone a number of changes in recent years regarding new regulations that have been applied to this insurance market. Innovations in technology as well as new technological trends have pushed insurance companies to create new insurance services and products, leading to the development of new risks.
