Comparative analysis of two originals

Summary/Abstract: Analysis of Abdurrahman Sirri’s nasheed has been conducted through the method of comparison of the script and the printed version. In its original, script form, majmu’a is written in naskh letter, the letter of Qur’an. The scribe of majmu’a is Bosniak eminent caligraph shaikh Behaudin Sikirić (1860–1934), and the printed version was prepared for printing by shaikh Šaćir Sikirić (1893–1966) in 1941. Besides the fact that the manuscript has, of course, preserved something individual in itself, it should be mentioned that the text in the manuscript contains several illegible terms and spelling mistakes. Historical experience confirms that every new form of intercourse, in this case print, enriches and improves social communication, without destroying the previous forms, and, in accordance to that, it can be determined that the editor of the printed text made interventions on some morphemes, both of the root and affix, that is language units that are holders of either lexical or grammatical meaning. On the basis of the obtained results it has been established that the printed version has no major deviations, and those existing have been recorded in footnotes. The main difference of the discourse is presence of invocation (dhikr in Arabic) in the script by which the author stresses out that “wayfarer” in this way certifies the Presence of God. Explanations of scientific terminology have also been provided in footnotes. Etymologies are diverse – Turkish, often Persian and Arabic. However, they, nor their meaning, will not be mentioned in this text.
