Brexit and the drift of political communication reflected in the British and European press

Summary/Abstract: Brexit is a political phenomenon that has put European liberal democracies under heavy trial. The popular passions aroused by this subject in the UK exceeded reasonable expectations and turned into unimaginable verbal and non-verbal violence for the British public space. The purpose of this article is to identify the main features of this populist drift and to highlight how the British and European press has reflected the gradual degradation of British political communication.
