Criticism between Marginality and Topicality. Conversation Held on November 15, 2018, Sofia University“St. Kliment Ohridski”

Summary/Abstract: Bulgarian criticism has been actively involved in the construction of the literary canon for over a century. What happened to criticism at the end of the 20th century and what is happening to it in the new millennium – this was the topic of the conversation that was held in November 2018. In it participated academic figures who are editors of specialized cultural periodicals. Emblematic journalists from various media – а television, а magazine, а website – were involved in the conversation too. The dialogue was polyphonic and uncompleted, but there was a consensus among the participants about the prospects for criticism, despite its new functions in the different social environment.
