Health Care in the Preparation of National Defense – Selected Aspects

Summary/Abstract: State defensive preparations are one of the most important components of national security policy to ensure its safety and survival in emergency situations. Among the many challenges facing the country during the war and crisis, one of the most important issues is to ensure that public health and the organization of effective assistance to victims are guaranteed. To ensure the realization of these tasks, the following are needed: proper assessment of existing threats and challenges, and the creation of appropriate legal and organizational frameworks. The article presents the most important issues concerning the preparation of the defense health services and ways of solving them.
