Summary/Abstract: Knowledge management, especially a personalized one, considered as a component of human resources is an answer to a challenge connected with practice in the human resources management. It can be assumed, that these forms coexist with one another and have many common features. Well-motivated employees, who make use of their knowledge, competencies and creativity, have a great impact on a company’s resourcefulness and competitiveness. The aim of this article is to characterize knowledge management, as well as to emphasize that the management of such a precious resource and shaping human resources are mutually interfusing processes, which can constitute the basis of competitive supremacy over other enterprises.
