Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article was to evaluate the changes in the regulation of credit unions sector introduced since 2012. It was taken into account the extent of state intervention and to examine the perception of the sector reform by employees of credit unions on the example of staff in Wielkopolska. After a period of regulatory indulgence, the state significantly increased its activity in the Polish credit unions. Considered the key regulatory changes most of them increased role of the state. In the opinion of the surveyed representatives of staff unions, difficult situation of the sector it is primarily due to changes in legislation and political reasons.
