Project Management Used to Assist the Development of E-Business Strategy in the Enterprise

Summary/Abstract: Dynamic development of the information and communication technology ICT has created the conditions for the development a new form of business. In recent years there has been a huge increase in the use of the Internet, which has a direct impact on the dynamic development of e-business sphere in Polish enterprises. The world has entered an era in which the ability to acquire and process of information and knowledge creation become the basis of economic success. Generally, these changes has led to the development and introduction of new solutions in the field of enterprise management. One way is to put into practice the functioning of the enterprise solutions based on project management paradigms. The aim of the study is to present the concept of the implementation and development of e-business strategy based on a project-driven approach (project business) to enterprise management. Methods and techniques of project management are used in order to promote effective implementation of the strategy. The strategic plan defines the goals that the company intends to achieve in the short and long term, determines how to achieve them and identifies opportunities and threats for them relevant. Recently, the project-driven approach is increasing. These approach is used way to achieve the operational and strategic objectives and the general improvement of the enterprise business, including in the area of e-business.
