Summary/Abstract: Purpose of Article. The goal of the work is to identify the individual features of the composer style of Vladimir Fayner in the relationships with the musical styles of the Renaissance, Baroque, and Classicism. The research is a summary of the analysis of the composer's cycle «All-night Vigil in polyphonic style» within 12 compositions. Methodology. The methodological basis of the study combines purely musicology (musical-theoretical, structural) and musical-liturgical methods of the analysis of the musical material which allows considering the cycle in various aspects. Scientific novelty. The work of the contemporary Kharkiv church composer V. Fayner, who believed the own cycle of the All-Nightly Inspirited Legacy of Palestrine was firstly researched in the field of Ukrainian musicology. Conclusions. As a result of the analysis of peculiarities of melody and polyphonic texture of works by V. Fayner, it was revealed, apart from the influence on the style of the author of polyphony of West European composers of the Renaissance, the stylistic features of the Ukrainian choir concert, the kant, folk singing, and signs of contemporary musical language. The assumption of a significant role of eclecticism in the complex of features of composer style V. Fayner was expressed.
