Summary/Abstract: Bearing in mind the theoretical and practical approaches of the educational system, the new trends in DIDACTICS bring "...new active, participative methods, in which the pupil becom the subject of knowledge and action..." Since 2009 I am teaching in a vocational High School where there are trained classes of primary teachers. In my paper I would like to present my own experience in what regards being a mentor teacher, the qualities a mentor needs, the resources he / she uses, the role and place of a mentor teacher in Romania.
