Retirement Awareness as the Condition for Effective Old Age Risk Management

Summary/Abstract: The following research hypothesis was put forward in the article – higher level of retirement awareness supports proper retirement decisions, which determine the effectiveness of old age risk management. The hypothesis verification was possible as a resultof achieving the defined goals, i.e. assessing the level of Poles’ retirement awareness and diagnosing the percentage of respondents who are aware of the need to put aside additional financial resources for future retirement, and who actually save money for retirement purposes.
