Summary/Abstract: In this article, I have tried to present friar Marko Karamatić´ publications. First, the basic information about friar Marko’s life and works within scientific and pastoral as two inseparable dimensions were given. After that, I point to his literary work as a student, as a professor at the Franciscan Theological School in Sarajevo, as a secretary and a principal of the Franciscan Theological School in Sarajevo, emphasizing the invaluable significance of his chronicles, of the Schematism of Bosna Srebrena, of his writings about the cultural heritage of Bosnian Franciscans, especially art, about the Bosnian Franciscans´ cultural influence since the beginning of their existence (1291) until today, especially during the period of the Austro-Hungarian rule (1878–1914). For the Bosnian Franciscans the Bosnian, Croatian and Catholic identity do not contradict, but rather complement each other. They were not prisoners of any ideology leading to hate or conflicts.
