Summary/Abstract: Purpose of the Article is to reveal the modern aspects of interpretation in the art-critical publications of choreographic art in Ukraine. Methodology. Systematization of the source base, analysis of choreographic reviews of the media in terms of interpretation allowed for an objective study. Scientific novelty. Scientific novelty consists in revealing modern interpretational aspects in artistic and critical publications on choreographic art in Ukraine. Conclusions. Today, art criticism requires shifting the emphasis from axiological consideration (identifying the value aspects of a work of art) to hermeneutical (interpretation and understanding of the meaning). There are processes of mixing specialized and everyday, which is actively promoted in the media, the problem of professional artistic and critical utterance arises, the critic is unwittingly deprived of the right to professionally interpret choreographic events. The nature of the associations of artistic and critical performance (interpretation) reveals the level of professional awareness of the author in the subject. It is precisely subjectivity that reveals the personality of the critic, his life and artistic experience, his world perception, philosophical priorities, and value orientations. Choreographic reviews in Ukraine are mainly performed by theater critics, musicologists, and journalists specializing in cultural issues. Experts of choreographic art rarely participate in the written artistic and critical discourse, which makes it impossible to identify the lexical and stylistic features of dance works. Despite the wide possibilities, as compared with the totalitarian period, for the realization of the author's original thought, the free use of the whole range of artistic criticism techniques, the cultivation of the author's principle, originality, interpretative freedom impoverishes the choreographic artistic criticism in quantitative and qualitative parameters.
