The Principle of Artistic Interpretation in the Vintage Interior Design

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to identify the principle, definition of methods and technological means of artistic interpretation that are used in the formation of a vintage objectspatial environment. The methodology of the research is based on the comprehensive application of general theoretical (analysis, comparison, systematization, and generalization) and special methods of art criticism (historical and typological comparison and the method of figurative and stylistic analysis). The scientific novelty of the article is to determine the number of technological methods through which the art interpretation in the design of vintage objects is realized. Particular attention is paid to the area of industrial vintage, which helped to identify the approaches that can be used to create vintage objects. In the context of the artistic interpretation, the following sub stylistic vintage lines such as steampunk and diesel tank are considered, which contribute to the formation of a special figurative and artistic structure of the subject-spatial environment. Conclusion. The application of the principle of artistic interpretation in the design of vintage interior embodies one of the postmodern concepts of the creation of a game, which is achieved through the combination of forms, materials, and textures. These combinations form a new functional purpose and semantic content of objects.
