Characteristic Features of the Formation and Development of Skansen in Ukraine at the Beginning of the XXI Century: Cultural and Recreational Component

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article highlight the process of formation and development of Skansen in Ukraine, at the beginning of the XXI century. The methodology consists of applying the method of source study analysis of the leading publications on the topic (to determine the level of scientific development of the problem), terminological analysis (to clarify basic concepts), comparison (to identify the characteristic features of different stages of development of Skansens), theoretical generalization (to formulate conclusions). The scientific novelty is to highlight the process of forming Skansens in Ukraine at the beginning of the XXI century and showing cultural and leisure components of their activities. Conclusions. The formation and development of Skansens at the beginning of the XXI century occurred throughout Ukraine evenly. At the present stage, the material and spiritual culture of almost all the ethnographic regions of Ukraine is represented by the justification of architectural monuments in the museum institutions by the sky. The period under review is characterized by the discovery of privateowned Skansens, which was supported at the legislative level. However, most of the based Skansens could not fully realize all the planned activities for lack of funding.
