Summary/Abstract: Purpose of Article. The purpose of the research is to study the priority directions of sociocultural design and its features at the present stage of Ukrainian society development. The methodology of the research applies methods as comparative analysis and synthesis approach to characterize the theoretical foundations of the socio-cultural design study; philosophical and logical for the disclosure of modem priority directions of socio-cultural design and introduction of innovations in the field of culture. The scientific novelty of the work is centers on the responsibility of the socio-cultural design for modernization and cultural development, as the project activity is an innovative and creative activity that improves the socio-cultural environment. In turn, in the context of the decentralization of the culture sphere, the project activity is an important factor in attracting the necessary resources in the sphere of culture and facilitates the entrepreneurial activity of organizations and cultural institutions, that is, projects as organizational and managerial forms will help to adapt both traditional and innovative directions of culture to new ones. Conclusions. Today one of the core peculiarities of the socio-cultural design is a cooperation within the framework of the Creative Europe program, which is one of the most important programs of the EU cultural and humanitarian direction, and provides opportunities on a competitive basis to receive funds for the implementation of sociocultural projects. It contributes to the development of the national cultural and creative industries and provides opportunities for professionals in the cultural sphere to cooperate with cultural institutions from different European countries. Thereby gaining a positive experience in the development and implementation of projects that are necessary in the context of the cultural sphere decentralization.
