Summary/Abstract: Considered to be part of the Mande people by the researchers, the history of the Mangoro coincides with that of the Senoufo tagbana with whom they live and share the same territories in the northern center of the Côte d’Ivoire, without belonging to the same linguistic family. Who are the Mangoro? Which language do they speak? Where do they come from? In a sociolinguistic study based on a descriptive approach not yet explored in a couple of scientific documents, our contribution is to suggest a clear presentation of Mangoro language, its territory or area and all elements that can help to describe its identity within a linguistically heterogeneous country.
