Summary/Abstract: The author analyzes the sociological dimension of family law from several perspectives. First, it is noted that the contradiction is an ontological trait of truth, then the contradiction is seen as the cause and sphere of the encounter of sociology and law. The contradictions of law and the necessity of law to motivate and reinforce the autonomous virtue define legally also the reduction of „light of sociological facts“. The necessity of interdisciplinary observing the phenomenon of family law implies the necessity of a sociological dimension. Sociological dimension of family law is illustrated by the examples of the impact of social context on biophilia, the divorce rate, the reduction of parental enthusiasm and subversive and explosive growth of educational neglect, violence both in society and in family and other forms of personal, family and social-civilizational pathology.
