Summary/Abstract: Stems cells are "basic units of human organism" which have a potential to develop into other tissues and organs. These cells are capable to differentiate and produce new stem (self-renewable) cells and other cells and they are capable to replace different tissues. They can be found in embryo, fetus, and in adult people or animals. The human stem cell research initiated many ethical and moral questions, such as the issue of socio-cultural, religious and moral attitudes of early human embryo nature and his "moral status", the cell origin and the politics and economy of knowledge and power. In relation to this, in this paper I discuss biotechnology, identity and embodiment issues in order to question Internet media discourse about human stem cells storage in Republic of Serbia. As a result of the possibilities of stem cells saving, I explain how Internet discourse on this topic redefines the concept of family and parenthood, and produce new concept of health. With regards to foreign, pro-European politics and current Euro-integrations of the country, I will pay attention to this subject, and question does media stem cell banking link with Euro-integration.
