Summary/Abstract: Zagrożenia związane z rozwojem technologii informacyjnych stają się coraz poważniejszym problemem społecznym współczesnego świata. Threats related to the development of information technologies are becoming an increasingly serious social problem of the modern world. Specialists from various scientific disciplines, mainly including teachers, psychologists and psychiatrists, alert about new forms of addiction and cyber threats concerns especially children and adolescents. Such threats include dependence on a mobile phone. This is a heterogeneous phenomenon, which is why many authors distinguish different categories of. These are mainly addictions: from new models of phones, sending SMS or telephone calls. Therefore, the Author has made an attempt to characterize the phenomenon of phonoholism and to present the most interesting diagnostic tools, in his opinion, which allow to estimate the size of the phenomenon.
