Summary/Abstract: The paper points to several meanings of the concept of crisis. The first is the Hypocratic concept of crisis, which implies certain pathological processes in the organism being developed up to a critical point, after which they end either in death or in the healing of the social »organism«. The second concept of crisis refers to the crisis of legitimacy, which implies a desintegration or a temporary non-acceptance of social consensus conseming fundamental social values.
