Summary/Abstract: In this article author analizes reasons for engagement of United States in disintegrating of second Yugoslavia. These are: firstly, unwillingness of authorities in Belgrade to fall within American sphere of influence; second, inssiting of Serbian political leadership on continuation of building of socializm; third, yugoslavian crisis provided very good pretext for continual existance of NATO; fourth, giving of pedagogical leason to disobayed regimes in the world; fifht, meeting the Turkish interests as a regional power and member of NATO aimed toward the East; sixt, demonstrating of US strategy to asure leading role in the world. Those are key reasons why United States broke 45 year old maintaining of teritorial integrity of Yugoslavia.
