WORLD MEGATRENDS IN REALM OF WORK AND RELATED STATE OF SERBIA IN 2000

Summary/Abstract: The paper summarizes contemporary findings on basic trends in the sphere of work of developed societies at the beginning of the new millenium. With the continuation of basic trends of the industrial era (mass production, mechanization of work, work in bureaucratic organizations, partialized and alienated work) new post-industrial megatrends are being observed: increased flexible production, informatization of work, professionalization of work, work in de-bureaucratized organizations, new integration of the work place and place of living and of work and leisure time. Analyzed are also trends of the "ending of work", with widespread and permanent unemployment and part-time employment.
