Ways of Naming the Concept of ”Cast Lots” in Udmurt Dialects

Summary/Abstract: In this article ways of naming the concept of ”cast lots” across Udmurt dialects are presented, paying attention to the boundaries of their geographical distribution. Their word-forming structure is analyzed, and an etymological description is given. The expressions are mainly formed on the basis of genuine vocabulary, the widest distribution have the dialectal variants of the formations пус чӧлтыны and пус кутыны.
