Summary/Abstract: In spite of many adduced reasons for NATO attack on Yugoslavia - from geopolitical to economical ones - author shows that the mentioned military ‘air campaign’ is purely ideologically motivated. It is a question of historical inauguration of a new postmodern ideology - an eclectic mixture in form of real-liberalism. The main promoter of this perverted junction of socialistic slogans and liberal principles is NATO. Originally constituted as a military alliance of sovereign national states, that is, as a guard of West from communist plague, nowadays, it has become a kind of ‘liberalistic Comintern’ - a world police or institutionalised ‘world conscience’ that is defending oneself, by all available means. In this way the last great story of the modem, in which libertarian ideas were regulative and not constitutive aspect of state and international constitution, has been irretrievably compomitated.
