„ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE“ AS А MANAISTIC PRACTICE

Summary/Abstract: This paper discusses the phenomena and practices of „alternative medicine“ within the context of sociology and anthropology of religion, and this phenomena is being explained as a manaistic practice. The crucial points of manaism as well as „alternative medicine“ are being explicated. The convergence of these practices is demonstrated, through the phenomena of mana, absence of scientific method, and elements of taboo, magic, and other.
