Summary/Abstract: The main goal of this paper is to measure and compare certain value orientations in countries of former Yugoslavia. Also, we compare mean values for the ex Yugoslavia with the reference measurement in western and eastern Europe, respectively. The value orientations which are about to be analyzed are: religiosity, racial/ethnic tolerance, democratic orientation, permissiveness and social trust. We used European Value Survey data 2008-2009 wave. As a method, analysis of covariance, as well as canonical discriminant analysis had been applied. Results showed that in former Yugoslavia we measure higher level of tolerance and democratic orientation comparing to rest of Europe.
