Summary/Abstract: Communication has a powerful average of manipulating society opinion regarding the pursuit of different political goals. Mastering non-verbal and verbal communication tools in the public representation of politicians are essential to his positive image. The political discourse can be put forward as the main instrument of political communication of the political leader`s persuasive influence, but it must be distinguished from other methods of destructive political persuasion, as well as the manipulation must be differentiated from lies and deception. In the process of achieving political power, the media plays a key role in the political communication flow. The concept of a "communication-manipulation model of influence" is introduced, signifying the group of participants in the classical communication model, but the participants have the constant opportunity to manipulate each other during the communication process. The innovations in this communication model are the new player - the political elite, and the new kind of influence through the transmitted information - the manipulation.
