Unemployed People Activation Programmes with European Funds in Choszczno and Wałcz County as a Method of Local Social Inclusion

Summary/Abstract: Social exclusion is a major problem in modern economy. One of the biggest threats to being socially excluded is being unemployed. In Choszczno and Wałcz counties there are two programmes funded by European Social Fund, which are helping people to find an employment. One of these programmes is directed to relatively young people – below thirty years old, and the other one is directed to people over 29 years old with specific situation in the labour market. The main focus of this article is to investigate the effectivenes of using european funds as a cost of activating one unemployed person. This study also describes the role of european funds in creating employment places between 2015 and 2016 year in both counties.
