SEZAİ KARAKOÇ METİNLERİNDE MİLLET SÖYLEMİ
NATION DISCOURSE IN THE TEXTS OF SEZAİ KARAKOC

Summary/Abstract: Sezai Karakoc is one of the elite poets and philosophers, who is famous not only with his opinion papers but also with his poems in the Turkish society. He has gained an important position which is getting wider with his consistent stance as a philosopher in the Turkish society. The opinions he has developed about the concept of a Nation has been paid attention to form a basis for the unity in Turkish society. The unities of nation states have been damaged by the global forces and the micro nationalists. In this context, the concept of a nation belonging to Sezai Karakoc offer important and strategic opportunities both strengthening the upper identity and the unity in Turkish society, which has an history of an empire. In this study, nation discourse is going to be discussed based upon the poems and opinions of Sezai Karakoc by using the literature sociology’s methodology.
