Summary/Abstract: The concept of airport security in the world has begun to develop since the early 1970’s. Terrorist acts have increased with the intensive use of air transportation by the public since the 1970’s and fatal accidents have been experienced by this way. In civil aviation industry, the reasons for the acts of terror have been examined with the statement which named as the rules in civil aviation are written with blood. Necessary precautions have been taken to avoid similar fatal accidents in the future. Airport have became dearest related with development of civil aviation. So, strategies have evolved about terrorist acts all over the world In our work, we will examine the accidents that are the result of the security shortage in the major civil aviation industry in the world and examine the strategies applied for airport security today.
