Summary/Abstract: Personality as a Social Dimension of Human Nature.This article bases on pretensions of sociology to considering personality as its subject of study and it states that complexity of human’s nature leads to multiple meaning of the word “personality” and variety of theories and types of personality. There are introduced new correct notions of society and social that are necessary for understanding of social essence of a human being. It is also stated that the most essential feature of human’s social nature is human’s ability for activity interaction (exchange of activity results – products and services) with other human beings. Personality as subject of sociology is a human participating in the activity interaction, i.e. actor.
