Summary/Abstract: The American missionaries have increased rapidly through the Ottoman territory stepping into Anatolia in the first quarter of the 19 th century, who started their religious activities with Muslims and Jews first. 'They realized that they could not be succesful; therefore they approached the Armenians who they could influence the society in the educational institutions,. They focused on teaching the Armenians the separatist ideas as it were necessary for Armenians to separate from the Ottoman Empire so that American missionaries can get benefit in terms of religion and finance. Later, Armenians led a number of revolts throughout Europe in the last years of the 20th century. During this period, even though the Ottoman Empire took some precautions, some news in the USA and in Europe, such as "Turks committed a so-called Armenian Genocide” was released and publicized about the Armenians by American missionaries. Today, the effects of the American missionaries on the busy agenda of the Turkish Republic about the Armenian issue cannot be underestimated. In this study, the influence of the American missionaries on the Armenian issue between the years 1890-1914 has been analyzed.
