Summary/Abstract: In this study, the the changes in the public perception of "Turkey" and "Turks" in Kazakhstan are discussed - changes which appeared since the Republic's independence. For this purpose, the images in question were summarized and the changes they had undergone during the disintegration of the Soviet Union were evaluated. Then, in early 1990 the Turks of Turkey and the Turkish world policy models were examined for the detection of left discourse. In addition, the new perceptions that emerged as a result of the relocation of people through education and economic relations during the independence period were investigated in detail. While evaluating the perceptions that emerged during the independence period, the effects of information sources of third parties, especially Russia, on the Kazakhstan public were analyzed. In conclusion, Turkey's policy towards the region evaluated, long-term image studies and developed recommendations for cultural policy towards the region.
