THE HOPE AS AN ESSENTIAL FACTOR OF PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT IN THE PERSPECTIVE OF PERSONALISM

Summary/Abstract: The dramatic situation of the world nowadays (and in the future) requires a Message of hope. In the face of difficult challenges and dangers, hope is not a stimulus to simply calculate chances and dangers, but a human response to them. In the personalism perspective, the analysis of the dynamics of the human being reveals the unlimited and indefinable perspectives of that dynamic. The truth about a human person is multidimensional and never perceived to the fullest. A person as a being can know himself reflectively, recognize his potential and foresee ways to express himself. In such a dynamic being, when new reality is being created, hope indicates a direction of responsible joint activity and becomes a foundation of human existence. In personalist perspective, hope is an essential factor of human development and a means of its actualization. From the perspective of a person, the cultivation of the virtue of hope must be aimed at a suitable self-expression, life according to the truth, a search for meaning and a happy life.
