Summary/Abstract: The article describes the publications of Konstantin Konstantinov in “Zveno” (“Unit”) journal – an issue of a signifi cant importance with its only 5 numbers (3 books: January; February-March; April-May 1914). Konstantinov’s reviews concerning new works and books by Nikola Rakitin, Ivan Arnaudov, Ivan Andreichin, his critical reviews of “Bulgarska Sbirka” (“Bulgarian collection”), “Moderna Misul” (“Modern Thought”) and “Democraticheski Pregled” (“Democratic Review”) issues as also the literary critical tribute to Dimitar Boyadzhiev reveal analytical approach and uncompromising rigor, articulate specifi c features in his views on art. The article presents the platform of “Zveno” journal through Konstantinov’s concept developed in his memoirs book “Put prez godinite” (“Way Through the Years”), stresses and stability of his critical judgment regarding Nikola Rakitin and Dimitar Boyadzhiev (through their later portraits in the memoirs opus, mentioned before). Konstantinov’s fi ctional texts in “Zveno” – “Noshtem” (“Through the Night”) and “Stranici ot edna nezavurshena povest. Prolog” (“Pages of an unfi nished novel. Prologue”) are analyzed here for the fi rst time. They are read with two typical for Konstantin Konstantinov “keys” – the aesthetics of the “scenic visibility” and the opportunities of self-recognition, followed through the mechanisms of creating memories and recollections, as by the attempts to identify oneself through the other and the others.
