Determining the Fundamental Structure of Mathematical Modeling

Summary/Abstract: The article provides arguments in support of the fundamental structure of mathematical modeling (FSMM), consisting of basic constituent states related to fundamental transformations. The fundamental structure of mathematical modeling (MM) is a metamodel of mathematical modeling. FSMM represents an attempt to define some important statements that are true about MM as a whole. If this attempt is successful, FSMM will contribute to the meta-theory of MM. The article points out literary sources containing schemas or texts relevant to the FSMM structure as discussed here.
