Summary/Abstract: Starting from the point of view of paradigms in his research into word formation, an area so far rather neglected than favored, the author wants to point to the new research possibilities within the framework of contrastive analysis of Slavonic languages. An explanation of complex and interrelated structural and semantic systems can offer solid grounds for competent conclusions in regard of derivational and semantic characteristics of larger grammatical categories.
