Summary/Abstract: Sonata for Piano for Four Hands by Francis Poulenc is an early work, first of its kind in the genre of French piano duo. It has a fairly non-standard composition structure. This piece represents some distinctive features of his style – bouquet of fantasy, joie de vivre, splendid melodic lines and creative message. Therefore, it is a favorite repertoire piece of many piano duos. This article is derived from performance experience – piano duo D. Shtereva – E. Simeonova.
