Summary/Abstract: Bor and Trepča mines had great importance to the German war and military industry. Because of that the Allies, especially British, aspired to prevent exploitation of the mineral wealth from the mines, and with the Royal Yugoslav Government coordinated information plans based on which they could take measures to hamper utilisation of the mineral wealth of Bor and Trepča. These activities of the Yugoslav representatives, which were aimed at collecting information on the situation in these mines, indicate endeavours to contribute to the war efforts of the Allies. However, with the allied fronts getting closer to Yugoslavia, Mihailović and his commanders were asked to get actively involved in field combat in order to prevent exploitation of Trepča and Bor, but they opted to wait and gave priority to struggle against the partisan movement.
