Summary/Abstract: The paper entitled Future tenses and their meanings in Bosnian traditional folk song (Sevdalinka) includes future tenses, their forms, frequency, semantic features and stylistic peculiarities. The survey included over three hundred sevdalinka songs. During this research, the author included a large number of examples, which he classified and described in accordance with the methodological research science in this area. From these analyzed examples, as well as from their frequency,we have acquired results which show that the use of future forms in our traditional lyric songs varies by form, meaning and style. We use verb forms in indicative, but also in relative and modal meaning.
