Summary/Abstract: In the Diocese of Alba Iulia, as well as in the world church, there is an aspiration to give practical answers to the social questions of the age through different institutional forms based on mutual love. The most prominent in this respect is the educational system directly maintained by the Roman Catholic Státus of Transylvania and the Diocese. There were also several other attempts. This paper examines the impact of the Church’s social documents in the life of the Diocese of Alba Iulia.
