Summary/Abstract: Texts by Bosnian and Herzegovinian writers (Kulenović, Ćopić, Mikić, Hromadžić, Selimović, Andrić ...) often include signs of autobiographical trips back to their own childhood. Each memory carries an image of the world of their native town/region, identifiable by certain semantic topoi, giving the literary text symbolic values, and thereby significantly bringing to light the individual and collective experience. Still, the literary fiction in these texts changes in relation to past as personal experience is most certainly inscribed in the memories.
